Riviera Maya Tour, México

Playa del Carmen is the main city of the municipality of Solidaridad, Quintana Roo, located southeast of Mexico, south of Cancun .

It is within the tourist area called “Riviera Maya“.  The city is bathed by the waters of the Caribbean Sea and its main economic activity is tourism.

Playa del Carmen is a place full of commercial activity, day and night life, good food and amazing places to visit.  At the Riviera Maya, for example, is one of the 7 Wonders of the Modern World : Chichen Itza.

Mundo Acuático provides a tour guide for those non- divers that stays on the ground, but both divers and non-divers can join the tour.

Transportation from the Airport to Playa del Carmen.  Airfare , departure taxes , transportation Airport – Hotel Cenotes -Playa del Carmen.  Transportation Playa del Carmen – Cozumel – Playa del Carmen.  Tips, four nights accommodation, breakfasts, 6 dives, full diving equipment.

Schedule

Day 1:
The flight is scheduled to depart at 6:15 am. Mundo Acuático makes the pre checking for all the attendees, with 24 hours anticipation. There´s a stop in El Salvador and then we depart to Cancun, arriving at 11:30 am.
We get to the hotel around 12:30 pm.

This day no diving is performed. The afternoon is free to get to know the area and for shopping

Day 2:
Two dives in the morning at Playa del Carmen.

Day 3:
Two dives in the Cenotes.

We take a small bus from Playa del Carmen towards the cenotes, which are about an hour away.  After making two dives, we offer a snack and return to Playa del Carmen at 2 pm.

Day 4:
Diving in Cozumel. We leave in a very comfortable and air-conditioned ferry to the island. Once there, divers will perform two dives while non-divers enjoy the area.
The dives end at approximately 3:00 pm, and the whole group (divers and non-divers) get together to go for lunch.

The afternoon is free to get to know the area and for shopping
The group can stay in Cozumel up until 10:00 pm because, at that time, the last ferry departs.

Day 5:
The group has to be in the hotel reception at noon.
The flight is scheduled to depart at 2:00 pm.  The flight make a stop at El Salvador and then departs to Costa Rica, arriving at 4:00 pm.

Additional Information

The tour requires a valid passport

The official currency is the Mexican peso. The dollar is received in all stores but not in high bill nominations.
