The Wreck Diver course is designed for divers who want to learn the techniques and procedures necessary to safely and responsibly explore shipwrecks.
During this course, students will learn navigation methods around submerged structures, how to identify potential hazards, limited penetration techniques, proper use of lines and reels, and specific safety procedures for wreck diving.
Wreck diving allows divers to discover sunken vessels filled with history and marine life, making it one of the most exciting experiences in recreational scuba diving.
Requirements for the Wreck Diver Course:
Hold an Advanced Open Water Scuba Diver certification or equivalent.
Be at least 15 years old.
For ages 10 to 14, we offer the Junior Specialty Diver program.
Medical Considerations:
You should not practice scuba diving if you suffer from diabetes, heart disease, uncontrolled high blood pressure, are pregnant, or have any cardiopulmonary condition.

Students are provided with recommendations for hotels, restaurants, and transportation services commonly used by Mundo Acuático. Although these are not included in the package, guidance and assistance are provided regarding these arrangements.
Schedule
Day 1 – San Pedro, Montes de Oca:
Class schedule to be arranged with the students. Theoretical lessons will cover wreck navigation techniques, safety procedures, use of reels and lines, hazard identification, and dive planning.
An E-Learning option is also available, allowing students to complete the theory portion from home or the office via Zoom and attend the classroom only to clarify doubts and take the exam.
Day 2 – Playas del Coco, Guanacaste:
Students will complete 4 open water wreck dives where they will practice navigation, observation of submerged structures, and specific safety techniques for wreck diving.
Additional Information
The diving license does not expire. In case of theft or loss, contact https://www.padi.com/ or https://www.naui.org/
certified, students will remain in our database so they can continue participating in this wonderful sport. The dive shop and training center Mundo Acuático organizes diving tours to various destinations both inside and outside the country, including Guanacaste, Puntarenas, Panama, Honduras, Mexico, Belize, and more.
