The Discover Scuba Diving program is designed for people who want to try scuba diving for the first time, without the need for previous certification.
During this experience, participants will learn the basics of recreational scuba diving, including how to breathe underwater, underwater communication, proper equipment use, and basic safety techniques.
It is the perfect way to discover the underwater world in a safe, fun, and professional environment guided by certified instructors.
Requirements for Discover Scuba Diving:
Minimum age: 10 years old.
No previous experience required.
Medical Considerations:
You should not practice scuba diving if you suffer from diabetes, heart disease, uncontrolled high blood pressure, are pregnant, or have any cardiopulmonary condition.
Introductory scuba diving theory session.
Full scuba equipment during the experience.
Swimming pool dive
Two open water dives
Boat transportation
Snacks and drinks on board
Specialized instructor on the surface and underwater

Students are provided with recommendations for hotels, restaurants, and transportation services commonly used by Mundo Acuático. Although these are not included in the package, guidance and assistance are provided regarding these arrangements.
Schedule
Day 1 – Playas del Coco, Guanacaste:
An introductory briefing will be conducted where participants will learn basic safety concepts,
underwater breathing techniques, and proper scuba equipment use.
Afterward, participants will complete 2 open water dives, always accompanied by a certified
instructor, allowing them to safely and comfortably explore the underwater world.
Additional Information
The Discover Scuba Diving program is an introductory experience and does not provide a scuba diving certification. However it can be credited toward your Open Water Diver course if taken within 6 months.
