No CommentsAlthough probably we have never question this before, humans have learned to dive since we were in our mother’s womb, so even if it is at a subconscious level, the lack of gravity is not entirely unknown to us. The state of nature called ‘liquidity’ has always been familiar to us even though we do not remember it.
Now, Costa Ricans reside in a highly given country with incredible nature, beautiful micro seasons, dreamy landscapes, exotic flora and fauna, and warm waters that bathe our shores.
In general, the ticos are very related to water, at swimming pools, rivers, and oceans. There are many water sports that you can practice in this relaxing environment: swimming, diving, surfing, among others.
However, one of the most attention-catching sports is diving; but to be able to practice it you need a previous learning.
You will probably find people who tell you that diving is very easy and that it is not necessary or received diving course or have a certification as a diver, to exercise it. Unfortunately, because of tips like this there are a lot of people around the world who never again will returned to dive, due to a bad experience when starting to dive with someone who did not have the tools to teach.
Do you want to learn a dive? It is not hard! As a requirement you only need to swim at a basic level and have good physical and mental health. Of course, you must have the desire to get involved in the activity, because if you sign up to please a social group or a particular person, you may not be able to enjoy this relaxing activity.
We recommend that when you decide to take a diving course, go to a company that is properly certified worldwide, as well as make sure you have a good support and instructors specialized in the subject. A person who is not certified, will not be able to dive anywhere, since for be admitted to dive at sea, he must present his international sports diving license.
The diving course carries a logical sequence: it starts with theory, practice in a swimming pool and finally doing an open water diving. This will allow the person to move forward and safely in their learning.
But if this person is not sure of wanting to take the full course, there is a possibility of diving without a license by taking an introductory diving course. The diving course is given by a certified instructor and will allow you, prior to a small lesson in the pool, to perform a couple of dives, up to 12 meters deep. The bad news is that the adventure ends right there!
In addition, there´s the disadvantage that because of the little information provided by these mini-courses, uncomfortable situations may occur, such as not being able to equal the pressures well or that the water enters inside the mask. This could help increase stress. If you have already decided to learn a dive, that is why we recommend do it in the best way, taking a course that grants you the international sports diving license.
Becoming a certified diver will allow you to dive smoothly anywhere around the world, in waters like the ones where you learned. You will know how to follow the rules because you will get them the right way. Diving theory is not difficult, quite the opposite, it is quite interesting and immersive for the student. In addition, it shows the safety risks and how to prevent them.
As we dive, we will be able to observe many creatures that we never imagined before. Fish, corals, manta rays, turtles, flora totally alien to our natural environment. Let us remember that we are foreigners in a new world full of color and peace and having the knowledge and certification as divers give us greater security.
